Sheriff Randy Seal and the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) recently attended the annual Hope House Champions for Children event. The event, sponsored by IJN (In Jesus’ Name), was an inspiring morning of stories from survivors and protectors of children.
At the breakfast, seven local champions from the area were honored for their efforts in improving the quality of life and safety of children. These champions, who act as everyday heroes, help to inspire everyone to do their part in becoming a champion for children.
One of the champions recognized was Bailey Burdette of Washington Parish. Bailey was acknowledged for her work in championing for children and for her efforts in improving the lives of children in the parish. Sheriff Seal and other members of the WPSO staff were on hand to thank Bailey and to show their support for all of the champions who were being honored.
The Hope House Champions for Children event was a great way to recognize and thank those who, through their efforts, help to make a difference in the lives of children. It serves as an uplifting reminder that by working together, we can all become champions for children. “Fight for the people you love, especially those who hate the effort that you give!” stated Burdette. “Never stop fighting, never give up. This life is yours.”
