Little Libraries in Amite

Junior Auxiliary of Tangipahoa and Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa partner to bring Little Free Library to Amite. The donation of the two paper racks from The Daily Star helped make this project successful. The Junior Auxiliary ladies painted the racks blue and helped fill them with books. Currently, the racks can be found inside Amite City Hall and Tangipahoa Government building. Once more decals are added to decorate the racks, they will be placed outside city hall and in another location. The plans are to have the Little Libraries ready when school starts. The racks will be maintained by Junior Auxiliary. If you wish to learn more about this project, please contact Michelle Gallo at 985-662-5557. Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa is a partner of Southeast Louisiana United Way.
