Nelda Jean Penton

And a resident of Franklinton died Friday morning May 13, 2022. She was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton that truly loved the Lord and her church family. Nelda was a resident of Riverview Apartments in Franklinton and had many friends there that she enjoyed helping run errands, visiting with on the porch and they always loved playing Bingo together.

Daughter: Linda Mudie of Oregon

Son: James Nutt of Idaho

Sister: Margie Dillon of Thomas

Sisters in law: Elaine Odom,

Marilyn Odom

Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

Also survived by her friends at Riverview Apartments and her beloved church family

She was preceded in death by her parents John Willie Odom and Margie Dykes Odom, brothers John Odom, Jr., Pete Odom, Tommy Odom, Robert Odom and other family members.

Visitation will be at First Pentecostal Church of Franklinton (1214 17th Ave., Franklinton) on Monday May 16th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Monday with Rev. John Mark Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Stateline Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
